Bio:
Willow Ahrens is assistant professor at Georgia Tech. She is the developer of Finch, an array programming language for irregular data. Willow received her Ph.D. from MIT, advised by Saman Amarasinghe. She received her BS in CS with a minor in Math from UC Berkeley. Willow is a Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship Alumni, and values scientific applications. Willow is also a glassblower, and enjoys teaching glassblowing as well as making glass art.
